Kaspersky Lab to open transparency center in Madrid soon
MOSCOW, Apr 2 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Kaspersky Lab will open its second transparency center in Madrid, on the basis of which the European authorities will be able to check the source code of the company’s products, a spokesperson for the antivirus maker told PRIME on Tuesday.
“We see how important it is for the business the way data are stored and processed and how Kaspersky Lab secures them. This is why we’ve decided to open one more transparency center where European companies, state agencies and regulators will get answers to their questions,” Vice President for GR Anton Shingarev said.
The center will welcome its first guests in June and is a part of the company’s global initiative on information openness announced in October 2017 after the U.S. had banned Kaspersky Lab products for the government.
